1. Who We Are

Teacherfy is a game-based microlearning platform that helps new and early-career teachers practice realistic, fictional classroom scenarios in five minutes a day. Teacherfy is designed for teachers and other adult users; it is not directed at children.

2. No Student Data

Teacherfy is built for teachers, not classrooms-as-records. We do not require, and do not intentionally collect, student names, student records, student work, classroom recordings, grades, or any other personally identifiable student information. All classroom scenarios in Teacherfy are fictional.

You agree not to upload or enter personally identifiable student information into Teacherfy — not in your profile, not in practice reflections, not in messages to support. If you believe student information has been entered into the platform in error, use the Contact page so we can remove it.

3. What We Collect

  • Account details: your name, email address, and password (stored only as a secure hash — never in plain text).
  • Authentication information: sign-in sessions and security events needed to keep your account safe.
  • Learning progress: simulations completed, answers and reflections you record in practice, XP, streaks, badges, and skill-path activity.
  • Subscription and payment information: your plan and billing status. Payments are processed by our payment provider; we never see or store your full card details.
  • Usage analytics: anonymous product events such as pages viewed and features used, only when you have opted in to analytics cookies.
  • Device and browser information: basic technical data (browser type, screen size) needed to run the app well.
  • Customer-support messages: what you send us through the contact form.
  • Newsletter: your email address, if you choose to subscribe.

4. How We Use Your Data

  • To create and operate your account and deliver the daily practice experience.
  • To use your learning-progress data to provide the service, personalize Skill Path recommendations, and improve the product.
  • To process subscription payments through our payment provider.
  • To send transactional emails (receipts, password resets, account and product notices).
  • To respond to your support messages.
  • To understand overall product usage, in anonymized and aggregated form, if you have opted in to analytics.

5. What We Do Not Do

  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • We do not use your information to make automated decisions about employment, licensure, or teacher performance.
  • We do not run advertising or remarketing trackers on the platform.
  • We do not require student data of any kind.

6. Data Retention

  • Account data: retained while your account is active.
  • Learning progress: retained for the life of your account so your private practice record stays available to you.
  • Deleted accounts: account data is deleted within 30 days of a deletion request, except records we must keep for billing or legal reasons.
  • Newsletter: retained until you unsubscribe.

7. Your Rights and Choices

  • Export: request a copy of your account data.
  • Deletion: request account and data deletion.
  • Correction: update inaccurate account details.
  • Cookie choices: accept or reject optional cookies at any time via "Cookie Preferences" in the footer.
  • Newsletter: unsubscribe at any time from any email.

8. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication, security, and session functions, and optional analytics cookies only with your consent. We do not use advertising or marketing cookies. Full details, including how to change your choices, are in our Cookie Policy.

9. Third-Party Services

  • Platform and hosting: the service infrastructure that runs the app.
  • Payment provider: processes subscription payments; your payment details go directly to the provider under its own privacy policy.
  • Email delivery: sends transactional and optional newsletter email on our behalf.

These providers process data only to deliver their service to Teacherfy. We do not permit them to use your data for their own marketing.

10. Data Security

Passwords are stored as secure hashes, all traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS), and access to production data is limited. No service is perfectly secure, but if a breach affects your data we will notify you and take steps to contain it.

11. Children

Teacherfy is designed for teachers and other adult users and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the product changes. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email before they take effect, and the "Last updated" date above will change.
